Oily skin creates an unhealthy impression and is an unpleasant part of life for teenagers, older women, and men. When pimples or acne are added to it, the problem needs to be solved as soon as possible. Fortunately, we know several effective ways to eliminate excess fat, such as cosmetics, grandmother’s advice, and other tips.

Oily skin is a problem faced by people whose sebaceous glands in the skin produce too much sebum, i.e., natural oil. Sebum protects the skin from infection and keeps it balanced and hydrated, but too much can cause shiny, unhealthy-looking skin, clogged pores, and acne.

What are the causes of oily skin?

Oily skin often originates from genes, which vary from generation to generation. During puberty or after childbirth, the skin can become extraordinarily oily and return to its original state due to the influence of hormones. Its condition also worsens in humid and warm or polluted air. However, oily skin is also caused by several factors that can be significantly influenced. This is, for example, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, or a lack of vitamins in the diet. The causes of oily skin can also lie in washing and exfoliating the skin too often, skipping moisturizing creams, or using too heavy creams even if you do not have oily but only combination skin.

How about oily skin

The American Association of Dermatologists offers some quick tips for oily skin.

•             Cleanse your skin in the morning, evening, and after exercise, in the summer, and during the day. You can use lukewarm water and face wash for oily skin.

•             Choose products labeled “non-comedogenic” – they do not clog pores.

•             Use oil-free, water-based makeup.

•             Apply sunscreen regularly. Ideally, with zinc and titanium oxide content.

•             Use absorbent papers during the day. Place them on your face and let them absorb excess oil.

•             Do not touch your face during the day.

•             Before going to bed, remove your makeup regularly and gently.

Cosmetics and preparations for oily skin

When using cosmetics to treat oily skin, it is ideal to use non-comedogenic products that do not clog pores,og the skin, or irritate it unnecessarily. This complex name comes from “comedones,” meaning black dots. It is not entirely easy for a layperson to find his way in choosing the most suitable cosmetics. Still, we offer you several non-comedogenic substances that suitable preparations could contain. It is mainly about shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and natural oils – hemp, argan, castor, sea buckthorn, rosehip, or jojoba. Many skin creams have non-comedogenic properties, as well as makeup, correctors, and cleansers.

It is ideal for supplementing these cosmetics with the Perfect Serum for acne with combined hyaluronic acid for softening the pores, the freshness of the face, and its deep nutrition. CL all-in-one cleansing foam without perfumes and sulfates will provide a very gentle but effective cleansing of dry skin on the face, leaving the skin balanced and perfectly cleansed.

If you are wondering what else to use for oily skin, high-quality peeling will significantly help you. It will clean the pores by removing dead cells and softening the skin at the same time. Enzymatic peeling is particularly suitable for oily skin, which, thanks to the enzymes it contains, is very gentle and moisturizes the skin in addition to cleaning. Peelings with chamomile, rosehip extracts, or tea tree oil also work great.
