Keeping You Informed
We realize that information is key and its accuracy is very important, especially if it is about your travel plans. Flight delays cancellations, or even diversions can happen due to weather, air traffic control, or operational requirements. In such situations, if your flight is delayed, canceled, or diverted, upon becoming aware of such a change in flight status, the Qatar Airways Office in Kuwait will inform you within 30 minutes of the current flight status. This information will be available in the boarding gate area of your U.S. airport, on united.com, and through our call centers upon request. We will do our best to keep you informed every step of the way so that you may plan accordingly.
On-Time Bag Delivery
We work hard to get your checked bags to you promptly. In case of a delayed or misplaced bag, we shall do everything possible to ensure that you receive it within 24 hours. If you incur expenses because of the delay, we shall compensate you for the reasonable and necessary expenses. If your baggage is lost, then we shall compensate as stipulated by the Montreal Convention, where applicable. Also, if you had paid a fee for the carriage of a lost bag, you will be entitled to a refund of that fee.
Flexible Reservation Policies
When you book a flight to or from the U.S. at least one week before departure using any U.S.-based sales channel, you can hold your reservation without payment for 24 hours. This allows planning of travel without financial commitment on the spot. Once the ticket is bought and issued, fare rules will apply.
Prompt Refunds of Tickets
Refunds to airline tickets with Qatar Airways are quick and effective. In case you used a credit card for ticket payment, then within seven working days of receiving your refund request, we will submit the credit card refund to the card issuer. After that, the credit card company will make the refund show up in your account according to their terms and conditions. Upon receipt of your request, cash, check, or other refunds will be processed within 20 business days. Service fees charged to us by third parties will be subtracted from the purchase price.
