Additionally, another revolutionary force is in agricultural robotics set to change traditional, labour-oriented tasks of weeding, harvesting, and sorting. Instead, robotic systems that are tireless, precise or efficient can be introduced to ensure less reliance on human labour thus ensuring increased productivity through eliminating such burden on manpower. 

For example, robotic harvesters such as those are able to move along the field unassisted, delicately picking only perfectly ripe vegetables/fruit while leaving the vegetation in place, thus minimising loss and guaranteeing uniform product quality.

Such an initiative may encourage agribusinesses to adopt socially responsible practices since they will be motivated to purchase products from ethical and sustainable firms.
